Welcome to TNCHF

The Tanzania Network of Community Health Funds (TNCHF) is a national non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established in 2003.

TNCHF promotes equity and sustainability in the development of micro-economies and risk pooling mechanisms in order to facilitate access to affordable health care. We do this by empowering members of various community health financing initiatives across the country to join hands so as to collaborate more fully with each other, governmental institutions and other voluntary organizations.

We foster active participation in governance and in one's own health, and advocate on behalf of the poor who cannot manage even a minimum of cost sharing. Be sure to check out the latest projects we're involved in.
